Laguna National is one of Singapore’s top golf and country clubs, featuring 36-holes of championship golf including the new World Classic Course and the Masters Course.
Designed by Andy Dye and opened in 2011, the World Classic is a tremendously challenging course inspired by the great layouts of the world. The Masters Course is most often associated with its long run of hosting the European Tour’s Singapore Masters for many years; it has featured champions such as Vijay Singh, Colin Montgomerie, Nick Dougherty and Lianwei Zhang. A beautiful parkland layout, it is a stern test of golf with magnificent trees and beautiful greenery that is a hallmark of the island state.
In addition to championship golf, Laguna National boasts 16 luxury suites, six themed restaurants, a full country club with three pools, fitness center, six tennis courts and a luxurious Adeva Spa Laguna complete with couples therapy rooms and hydrotherapy beds.
An ultra-modern city known for its beautiful gardens, Singapore makes a great stopover or springboard into the region with a medley of Chinese, Malay and Indian influences and a tropical climate, tasty food, great shopping, world-class casinos, and a vibrant nightlife scene.
The Classic Course layout, affectionately known locally as “The Beast” due to its formidable challenge, unfolds over dramatic, hilly terrain that is unique to any course in Singapore. The Classic Course has many colourful flourishes. An island green on #17 draws inspiration from TPC Sawgrass and is the site of many dramatic finishes over the final holes. Back to back 600+ yard holes at #13 and #14 demand long and accurate shot making. Just ask Tiger Woods, who spectacularly made his Singapore playing debut on the Classic Course in 2011.
Another masterpiece by world class golf course designer, Andy Dye, the award-winning Masters Courses is best known for gracing world class golfers such as Ernie Els, Colin Montgomerie, Nick Dougherty and Vijay Singh at the European Tour’s Singapore Masters from 2002 through 2007.
